. the church is now launched a fundraising campaign to pay for it. >>> criminals have robbed four pharmacies in just two days in pleasanton and dublin. brian flores is there now at a pharmacy that was hit. >> reporter: hi. the main question is if all the pharmacies that were robbed are related. no word from law enforcement officials. you are right. we are here at the 2800 block in front that have riteaid. it was robbed around 12:30 yesterday afternoon. there were also robberies at a pharmacy not to far from here. there was a third attempted robbery that may, or may not be related on dublin boulevard. then there was a 4th attempted robbery at a cvs off regional street. that was around 5:30 yesterday afternoon. its being reported that at least two men may be working together and hitting up the pharmacies. one of them would walk up to a pharmacist with a demand note. in these cases the pharmacists said no and then the men fled on foot without the drugs. no injuries or sign of a gun. one of the suspects is a white or middle eastern man with a beard. he is his mid-30s. witnesses say that he had a

marijuana growing operation. but as ktvu's rob roth explains, the person in charge of the grow says it is strictly for patients in need of medical marijuana. >> about 20 crime patients raided this house. they seized and bagged marijuana plants they say produce 20 to 30 pounds of pot a month. >> a pretty significant grow in terms ofize. approximately 700 plants in various stages of growth. it's pretty sophisticated. >> reporter: police also recovered approximately $40,000 in cash and two starter pistols. police arrested two men. one of them 63 years old. late this afternoon, ken estes came by the warehouse and took us inside. he says he's the one running the wear hughes in richmond. you can see the stems of the plants have been cut. >> they just arrested two patients. they cut the plants down. >> why? we need answers. medical marijuana patients and people trying to do the right thing need answers. >> you need to follow the ordinance itself. that wasn't done. >> reporter: they could have called us and talked to us, and said hey, you didn't do something. >> reporter: police say underco

the pharmacy was robbed. in pleasanton police responded to a rite aid pharmacy. employees reported an attempted robbery there about 12:30 in the afternoon. and a similar robbery attempt happened wednesday night at lucky pharmacy. >>> time now just about 5:34. there is a scam to tell you about. this one is targeting holiday shoppers in vallejo and involves fake ipads. tara moriarty is in vallejo with the warning police are sending out. >> reporter: here's an ipad you can see that the back of it here is silver. and police say that scam artists are using silver picture frames similar to this one and with a sticker cut out like an apple to trick people. they discovered the fake ipad boxes when they pulled over somebody having fake ipad boxes. detectives believe that person was intending to sell them for a cheaper price. inside the boxes police say they found reply cast of ipads wrapped in bubble wrap in order to hide the true features. it's not clear how much they were going to be sold for or where they were going to be sold and no arrests have been made. but we are not sure if this is part of a la

. >> rob marciano is tracking the storms from the cnn weather center in atlanta. how is it looking in the near future, rob? >> well, a bit of a break today, soledad. more rain coming tomorrow. you saw the folks dealing with the rain about fall, cars driving through it. the rivers rushing. but we have infrastructure damage, as well. some video out of oakland in and around this area, lafayette there, this home damage, a number of them, you get near the hillside, that brings down debris and boulders and mud, and that does damage not only to homes but on the other side of roadways, we've got damage from a number of primary and secondary roads in and around this bay area. a tremendous amount of rainfall that has just undermined those structures. so you've got issues with that, as well. of course people driving through these flooded streets. you've got a need for rescues. the fire departments and their swift water rescue teams were out in full force over the weekend rescuing people. this is in cuss cadder ra and a number of other people had to be rescued. napa valley tremendous rainfall
